September has seen a lot of rain here on the coast...
but we've had lovely sunshine in between the raindrops...
and the plants are happy...
especially this gorgeous, shiny shrub with a bazillion red berries (it's outside our living room window and I have no idea what it's official name is, but I love it)...
Our orchid is still in full bloom. I say hello every morning and give it a gentle pat...
My bucket of colours for the many cloths I am crocheting. It's so much fun to choose combinations. I'm mostly always pleasantly surprised at the outcome...
So, dear reader, I hope you are keeping well in these challenging times. Take care and enjoy your autumn (or spring if you are living in the southern hemisphere).

It's only August but already there are signs of autumn with the flowers starting to fade and leaves falling from the trees. Mind you, it's been a very dry, hot summer so it's not too surprising that trees are already shedding. There are still some summer colours around.
Goldenrod blooms along the river's shoreline...
The crows enjoy a cool breeze and a bit of rain...
The scene at London Landing (with Shady Island in the distance) was incredibly beautiful during the rainfall...
I'm a rainy-day person, so lots of photos are taken when it rains, especially during a dry summer...

We're getting close to the Summer Solstice here in the northern hemisphere. Were you able to see the annular solar eclipse? We couldn't but there are amazing photos online.
All we saw was a seaplane being pulled across the road in front of us...

Spring is in the air and there are flowers everywhere...

hello dear reader. I'm sorry to be away for such a long time. There is no really good excuse either. We are both keeping well and safe and staying out of trouble, mostly. Our morning rides to River Road are still an item, thankfully. It gives us our daily treat with a warm drink and a beautiful view...

hello dear reader,
I hope you have been keeping well during this wild year. We have been nesting at home, except for our early morning tea and biscuit hour at our favourite spot along the river. The weather has been up and down and all around, with fog, sunshine, rain, wind, back and forth. Here are a few of the scenes from those days....
