Tudora

I have something different to show you, dear reader. I started knitting a neck warmer in December 2007 and finally finished the last row…

It’s Tudora from the winter 2007 Knitty. I used Patons Classic Wool in Royal Purple on size 4.2mms (US6) . This is Tudora without a neck to warm…

Tudora is an easy design but as usual it took many attempts – and many months - to get it right. I would show you a picture of me wearing Tudora but Teddy is much cuter….

This little squirrel couldn’t decide whether to eat the sunflowers…

or run around the water dish for exercise…

whilst grey squirrel is happily munching on sunflower seeds…

We’ve been having the most glorious September weather - sunny warm days and crisp mornings and evenings (although the rain is supposed to arrive this weekend). It’s the time of year for fleece blankets and thick comforters and that delicious snuggle down autumn feeling, but the petunias are still carrying on as if summer will never end…

Meanwhile we celebrated a 60th birthday and one of us went on a weekend camping trip and did some long bike rides; we ate our meals outdoors on the patio in the sunshine and enjoyed some Hot Chocolate mornings at the cafe and leisurely visits to Steveston harbour and lots more I can’t remember at the moment…but it was all good stuff (oh yes, there were several visits to the dentist but they ended well too).

So, after that long rambling sentence I will wish you a peaceful week, dear reader, and hope to see you next Friday. Take care.
