Christmas In July....
It's warm outside but I'm sitting here in my cool little cave making gifts for Christmas, like this One Skein Crochet Scarf...
It's an easy peasy design – and easy doesn't mean
boring. The scarf works up quickly because of the lovely stitch
pattern...
This particular scarf is being donated to a women's shelter. I'm hoping it will cheer someone with its bright
colour and warmth....
Meanwhile, daisies are growing everywhere in the
parks...
Most of the poppies have wilted now but they were so
beautiful in their prime...
This old house is set for demolition, so K took lots
of photos of the garden, including these stairs with Christmas lights
still attached...
Even in the summer's heat, the squirrels do not stop eating...
It's time now for a long summer's nap, so I'll wish
you a peaceful week and hope to see you soon, dear reader.
“Rest
is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a
summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the
clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”
