Building Blocks...

These squares were created for the ReBuilding Greensburg–Block By Block project...

Each 8” square is knit with two strands of leftover sock yarn (various colours and brands) and 4mm (US6) needles. I have another square almost finished and hopefully enough leftovers for two more. I’d like to complete six squares before sending them to Kansas next week...

If you can knit (or crochet) the most basic stitches, please consider contributing a square to Laura’s project. All the details, including knitting pattern, mailing address, etc. can be found here.

While we are on the subject of knitting for others, my friend Vik has created a site - Knitting for Homeless . Everyone, no matter where you live or how basic your knitting or crocheting skills, is welcome to join this group and knit for their own community needs.
