Busy As A Bee...
K bought me my very own French Knitting Bee (that was the name on the package); it didn’t take me long to remember how to use this little fellow….
I had several of these when I was a kid and I created enough knitted cord to cover our house (inside and out); then life got busy and I forgot about my knitting bee…or spool knitting….or corking…so many different names for a simple and fun pasttime.
Now I am enjoying it all over again. Even though I'm at my wobbliest with another ear infection, I can still manage to make a bit of cord; soon I should have enough to sew together a little pad for my tea maker to rest on…
I did manage to stop long enough to knit another set of cloths from Sugar ‘n Cream in Over the Rainbow colours…
This very cute Douglas squirrel hangs out at the Richmond Nature Park…
We have some pretty white flowers in the garden and they attract the bees with their sweet smell…
Now you will have to excuse me, dear reader, as I hear my little knitting bee calling…must make more knitted cord…I’ll wish you a peaceful week and hope to see you next Friday.
