Over The Rainbow...

in double time...

Remember I said I like to use up all my bits & pieces of cotton? Well, I had two small leftover skeins of Sugar ‘n Cream in Robin Egg Blue and Country Twists, not enough to make a full cloth, but put together…

They create a lovely feather & fan cloth…

I changed colours every time I came back to the right side of the knitting, so I knit 2 pattern rows with egg blue, then two rows with country. When I started the row with the second colour, I pulled the yarn to the front of the old colour so it twisted together and created a clean edge…

I’ve had requests for more detailed instructions on finishing the toe of my Tube Socks pattern. One nice reader suggested I add the instructions to my sock post and I did that very thing. So, you’ll find all you need to know about finishing the toe decreases on the sock link.

Speaking of tube socks, I knit these lovelies a long while ago in Regia sock yarn, Las Vegas colourway...

They’ve been through many washes and still look good as new…

Peonies in Steveston…

In my ongoing search for one-or-two skein patterns for cotton yarn, I came across this pretty Cotton Neckwarmer. It would look nice in so many of the cotton colours.

And that, dear reader, is all I have to say this first day of summer. I will wish you a peaceful week and hope to see you next Friday.

“A flower's appeal is in its contradictions - so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect.”
